I love this – the technique – the subject — everything — I have hoopoe occasionally in my garden and I see them everyday around town — they are amazing birds and you have got them here — dave
Great, and a lovely blending of bird and background. I also love the fact that, as well as the everyday name (Hoopoe), you included its Linnaean scientific name (Upupa epops); a bird whose name is so poetic and funny it always makes me smile.

This is different Elisabetta from your usual flowers, but none the less stunning…I love how he blends in with the rooftops…

Fantastic ..as you know I just love all your work ..
and this is wonderful ..
Fascinating piece. Something about the planes in this that remind me of some of Cezanne’s work. Wonderful Elisabetta.
Your work is really artistic! Great abstract forms, colors and composition!
I find myself thinking of Cezanne. I respect and admire your work.
Oh dear … I hadn’t spotted that “thepaintedsoul” also mentioned Cezanne … two great minds think alike :)

When I was a little girl we’d have hoopoes in and around where we lived. Gorgeous birds and you’ve captured the head and wings beautifully :)
I like this very much
