Elisabetta, I adore your style of art. This is absolutely a gorgeous work. I not at all big on labels, but just curious, what would you call your style. I know it has a hint of cubism. Maybe your like me, “it’s just my style.” Anyway I admire it very much, whatever it is.

perhaps a little of futurism, as an example Boccioni, I love the preraffaeliti ones, Bocklin, the french nabis, Carlo Crivelli, Sassetta ,Cosme Tura and all the Italian Middle Ages… Balthus and more and more…

I am not a prolific painter…. i work slowly … unfortunately. For this picture I have been painting for 15 days … six …seven hours every day.

I adore the soft natural colours.
And you are skilled at photographing your work as well. Do you use diffused lighting when you photograph them? I am only wondering as I have always been impressed and absolutely dazzled by the depth and beauty of your work with the rich matte appearance of your images and no flash or bright shiny distractions on the photographs. They appear smooth and uniform, and so well balanced in the purest form of colours. This lovely work of art is elegant and so very beautiful. One day I hope to collect them all.
