Long a patriarchal country, it is only as recently as 1990, that women in Spain began to be accorded the same rights and treated as equal to men. On paper this works, but still women are not widely regarded as being equal. Domestic violence, crimes against women, in this country are a huge problem.
Ciara, a personist, is highly offended by this, as I am. She is studying ethics in college this year, including social ethics, a subject, I think the Spanish Government need to revisit. This is work for her, for a project about peaceful protest.
