Not for all occasions...only the good timesby Berns
Enniscorthy, Ireland. These three immigrant workers are standing at a ‘pick up’ point, waiting for someone to come along and offer casual work. The shop behind almost says it all. Many of these people came to Ireland in search of a decent standard of living, a decent wage and human rights. Now that the worldwide ‘Crisis’ has hit, there are few jobs available and even fewer care. Women are at the forefront of exploitation, working for a pittance, because they have no choice. What an appalling state of affairs has developed because of the credit crunch and those that caused it never were and probably never will be called to account. All the “tough” new regulations introduced following the Enron scandal didn’t make one single scrap of difference either.
Still we allow thousands into the UK and ROI with little thought of the long term consequences on infrastructure, services, the indigenous population or the poor migrants themselves.
Great capture though Berns, well done.

Thanks David, I think its going to get worse, a lot worse before it gets better!

Thanks Declan, given the shop behind, couldn’t call it anything else! I see you ‘appreciated’ the Beautiful Brazilian girls!
