Not meant to be a groundbreaking image in any way, just one that shows The City That Never Sleeps…. when it’s not sleeping! (When I took this photo, I wanted nothing more than to sleep, as I’d somehow caught a cold while on holiday, and the hotel I was in had only two settings on its heating, loosely described as ‘Furnace’ and ‘Dry Furnace’. It made for frequent waking up for rehydration during the nights, and uncomfortable temperature adjustment every morning to below-zero temps the next morning) (I’m not complaining, mind you. New York City ALWAYS rocks.)
