We were on a train from Zurich to Davos and it was a grey blizzardy scene outside the window as we hurtled punctually on a brutally efficient Swiss train. The light outside was a horrible grey, but the shapes were interesting so I snapped a few shots. When I got back home I decided to bump up contrast and brightness to see what I’d ‘seen’. This one looked like a weirdly pixellated charcoal sketch. Neat!! (The detail becomes too pixellated at most enlarged sizes, but at a certain resolution this turned out really nice!)

Bernd Talasch doesn’t remember being hatched in a research laboratory in Omaha in the late 1950s so maybe that never happened. (Placeholder bio – remember to replace).

I must say…I thought you had done a gorgeous sketch via the thumbnail…
Excellent processing, love the starkness of that tree against the barely visible blurred background and white snow!
