I make it a point never to call out at premieres (I believe in candidness, even in a public event – even though I nod at the theory that you always change that which you observe) which makes eye-contact all the much more sweeter. More so when I braved a brief torrential rainstorm with two umbrella-less Spanish tourists while waiting and securing a half-decent position. More so when I’d already taken 1000 shots and the batteries were low and I’d shifted down to 6megapixels to save space on the last memory card. More so when it’s, you know… Charlize Theron. And even more so when it’s the only shot that was properly exposed when she stood in the middle of two rows of facing Paparazzi gauntlets going crazy with their flashguns. Bottom line : I know I’m lucky to get a shot like this. But I was there to push the shutter, so I can take the credit! Thought I’d share… _(taken as journalised in the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London, 2011). Photo for the Day? Unquestionably!
