On Ice by berndt2

Currently unavailable for purchase

Taken in Switzerland. I’d been skiing numerous times but I’d never actually seen the kind of perfect unique hexagonal snowflakes you always see in movies and sketchbooks.

However, they do exist!

This one had smacked into a window and slowly melted, betraying its fragile (and malleable) nature in that particular state.

After that.. back to drinking!

On the off chance you’re interested
1. The camera was a Pentax K10D, ISO400, f7.1, 1/400sec, -.07 exposure
2. The lens was a Tamron 90mm macro; and
3. The alcohol was a warm milk/cream/Bombardier eggnogg concoction.

Bernd Talasch doesn’t remember being hatched in a research laboratory in Omaha in the late 1950s so maybe that never happened. (Placeholder bio – remember to replace).
