Scan of a negative taken on the crappiest film camera I have ever known, an all- plastic Hanimex brand point-and-shoot. Fixed focus, fixed aperture, and “panorama” mode was literally two plastic bars sliding across the face of the lens!
Taken as I flew into New York City in October 2000, my first trip to the USA (and only my second trip overseas). While the quality of the shot is questionable (shooting into the sun, through a window) there is something about it that makes me remember the time. Obviously, since this was taken pre-9/11, the twin towers are clearly visible.
