It is in fact the tight canyon ridden down by Indiana Jones in ‘The Last Crusade’, and in real life (just as in the film) it terminates in ‘The Treasury’, a startling building carved into the rock. What the movie doesn’t show you is that there’s an entire ruined and ancient city over and above just ‘The Treasury’ (indeed, several kilometres walk and some 800 steps later and you come to ‘The Monastery’ which is where, in Transformers Revenge of The Fallen, the Tomb of the Primes was located. (though that film sucked bigtime and it should hardly be used as fact).
All that aside, though, it is awesome.
Bernd Talasch doesn’t remember being hatched in a research laboratory in Omaha in the late 1950s so maybe that never happened. (Placeholder bio – remember to replace).

fantastic capture!
lovely work Berndt, well done!
An amazing image (fascinating to see the horse to get an idea of the magnitude of that canyon), and very interesting info…. thanks so much for sharing…
so why did you think TRoTF sucked big time? was it the lack of acting ability by one very hot looking young leading lady?
I list of all the things I disliked about TRoTF would take up a LOT of space (but when I do my annual ‘movie awards’ later this year I’ll try to summarise), but broadly speaking : it made no sense (whereas the first one kind of at least tried to be consistent in its plot devices, The Transformers had abilities that were completely random and under-utilised or utilised at whim, half the characters were under-utilised or different to what they were in the first film… and … and… okay. You know how they said only a Prime can kill a prime? Optimus was killed by non-primes. You know how Optimus was killed? Stabbed through the chest and only a fragment of tomb could revive him. You remember how Megatron was killed? Some kind of overload, crush, then at the bottom of the ocean for a couple of years… and yet a shard of the All-Spark was all that was required. Why? Why can Sam, a human, see the machine afterworld? Why can transformers give birth now? .. I could go on 8)

Oh, and Fox can’t really act either!

Lol….I hear you…..
damn it’s hard watching thru "grown up " eyes…..
I tried to just watch it thru the eyes of my 11 y.o. and it was only Ms Fox’s lack of acting that really got to me as a “big kid” lol…. (mind you, she sure looked gorgeous but that was ALL she did for the whole movie…)
Wonderful shot!! We are trying to go there for a horseback holiday, next year.
Wonderful shot!
It looks flowing and weaving of the surrounding, the wagon stands. perfect lighting.
Wow! Stunning!!
Fantastic, super capture …
