Cool Data Storage and back up by Tony Fallon

Posted on March 19, 2008

Check this out. Recent data storage option taking up to 4 standard hard drives. Manage and safegaurd your files and swap out small old disk for bigger new disc when required. A bit expensive at the moment at around $500 but looks one of the best home or small office solutions going. Claims to be better than RAID.

Anyone got one ? Please let us know what you think

Sounds like a miracle solution for backup! Might be worht the high price for unlimited storage. I’ll see if i can find any reviews on it.

looks interesting if it does all it claims , havent heard anything about them before .
bit expensive but as it also doesnt include any hard drives with the cost of the case.
And i guess its only going to be as reliable as the hard drives you use with it ?
Also dont know how much of your processor power it will use when it autobackups up .

I’ve heard various stories about the Drobo – many people love it, but I’ve also heard from several people who have had serious disk issues with the Drobo. In one case, adding a disk to a Drobo caused it to wipe all existing data!
