The Sinner's Scorn

Gandhi once said, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike Christ.” This quote is important because too often people forget what Christianity is about. People get so caught up in pointing fingers that they forget to look at themselves. We are all sinners and we always will be. With that being said, do any of us really have the right to call ourselves Christians?

It is too easy for it to become an “Us vs. Them” scenario. But why? Christianity, real Christianity is about love. (Not just loving the people that live the lifestyle that we may choose). Jesus was always with the sinners; He didn’t choose to live their lifestyle but he loved them and cared for them no matter what. He never judged them and I can guarantee you, that he didn’t go around choking people because they were not following society’s morals

However, it is not fair to say that all Christians are fake, because I don’t believe they are. It is just hard to find the genuine ones.

“You cannot blame people for not seeing Christ through the Bible. However, you can blame the {false} Christians for not being able to show Christ through their lives”—Anonymous
