Blooming Fungus, Burning Spores

My very first attempt at ZBrush, with “flames” manipulated in Photoshop. Also my very first attempt at getting a print done in large format canvas, and discovering screen colours DON’T translate into print as well. Hmm.

The proceeds of all sales go to World Vision, an organisation dedicated to looking after children in Third World countries. .... EXCEPT, while it still runs through Phoenix Appeal, these proceeds will go to the RED CROSS VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL.

Yeah, thanks Michael, but the jaggies are pretty noticeable blown up. I’m gonna have another go at this some time, when I next get some prints done.

That is very cool Caset… ZBrush is not that easy an ap to work with but you can get some really classy stuff out of it…. and this is one of them… Great abstract my friend!

Them’s powerful words from you, zooreka! Thanks! Too bad this is the best I’ve ever done in ZB … although at the mo I’m reading a book on it – the ONLY book on ZB, called “Essential ZBrush”. (So far, as exciting as any computer software manual you’ve ever read, eh heh!)

- I had a tut from Glen Southern on ZB a few years back – he is also a big SIlo user. However I lost the tut on a HD fail and have not been able to find it again.

Yeah, that’s one advantage that books have over tutes. I’m slowly making my way through the “only” book on ZB, called “Essential ZBrush”, but it’s a bit on the heavy side, as it doesn’t cater as well as it claims for beginners. I’ll need to supplement it with tutes, for sure!
