Experiment with water and studio lightsby benthebrown
I am playing around with lots of ideas at the moment trying to find myself. I went into the garage yesterday to do some of those flash frozen water shots hitting water into a tank of water. My son was going to drop the water in for me and then we kind of got carried away as you can see. This is still not perfect or what we wanted to get out of the shoot, but it is the start of something interesting and dynamic to look at. Let us know what you reckon, we do have some better ideas in mind…it’s just about experimenting and getting it right.

Wow Ben I’d say you nailed this shot! Love the upward movement of the water off your sons body and the pose is perfect, but the light is what makes this shot special, showing all the little sprinkles of water… perfect compostion too.. just perfect all round, love it!! Instant fave!!! :D
Thanks Simone for your well thought out and lovely comments and fave mate :)
It seems you have captured what you have set out too do… there is movement and light to capture the drops as they fly, the emotion on your sons face is one if concentration… Well done! I am breathless to see what else you guys come up with!
Thanks Jeff, I appreciate your comments mate. Hopefully something as good next time.
I reckon this is flippin’ brilliant Ben! Wow! I’m not sure how you could possibly improve on this! Now I want to go play with water and studio lights :D
Thanks Shelly, always good to hear from you buddy :)
