For this one I waded out under the Sandgate bridge at dawn & took a 10 sec exposure @ f16.
Then I kept the camera in position & waited, waited, waited until the bird flew past and took a shot at 1/180.
Then I combined the two photos in a little program you might know called photoshop.
I can see this one working well on a large canvas.

Geezus Ben…..this is such a tremendous image, and your description is a good collaboration with the pic.
I’m curious…....at 1/180, was the birds reflection in the water as clear as the bird itself?
Or was there a ripple to clear up (with that lil program!!)?
Very impressed, and wish i had your foresight to plan something like this out!

Thanks David. This body of water is very glassy with no movement at low tide anyway, it’s a bay location with no waves ! So the reflection is untouched but I did mask off tightly around it to not include minor ripples. Thanks for your interest mate.
