This is a plea
A scream, a scream
Coming from a
Never before seen movie scene
That’s stuck behind a smoke screen
What a conundrum
We find ourselves enveloped in
And
This theory’s just developing
There’s so many who were
Excited and inspired
But it’s hard not to get tired
When you’re wired to the system
All these
State-of-the-art disaster zones
It takes too long to list them
So
Let’s strike a deal like a well aimed kick
You’ve got to be quick these days
They said
The proverbial They
The ones that rule the world these days
So here’s what I’ll do
I’ll blow you away
Lyrically
A subtle means of interaction
Drastic times call for
Simple actions
And They’ll say
So this is what you do behind closed curtains?
No.
This is what I do when nothing’s certain
I sit up straighter
Put my pen to paper
And I show you my thoughts
You can smile at them later
A little flash flood
And the blood starts pumping
Something tells me I’m up to something

Now that’s a jazz lyric – ‘something tells me I’m up to something" – maybe we all just need to get a band, huh? Seriously. Amplify the words for the people. This poem would be fabulous lyrics.
ah but even most song writers don’t get recognition for their work. It’s a shame. But if writing or singing or anything else helps you to express yourself then I guess it doesn’t matter! Thanks for your compliments and for taking the time to read this :)
