A dream land, it seemed

A dream land, it seemed belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and WMG

It was a dream land, it seemed
And, the city was calling
Enthralling, exciting
And oh so, inviting
Such passion, and fire
The latest attire
The ladies, all winks
As they smile for their drinks
And the gentlemen, prowling
Like animals, growling
A dreamland, it seemed
But, the fire was spreading
Bedding entangled
Dignity mangled
A tough situation
Improperly handled
Commonplace madness
Displayed on the mattress
The actor, the stage
And the wannabe actress
A new exhibition
Of a part-time lover
No inhibitions
For this part-time mother
The streets are alive today
He’s many wives today
He’s partied from nine
Now its quarter past five today

I’m enjoying your ability to play with our wonderful language, Ben – skilfully done, a lyrical telling of an intriguing story.
