Sunrise Woody Point by Ben Messina

Sunrise Woody Point by

Here’s an image I shot recently from Woody Point, Queensland. I got a new lens the Canon TS-E 24mm 3.5L II Tilt/Shift lens, so I was keen to get out and see how sharp it is. This is a 3 image vertical stitch using 11mm of shift on the 5D Mk 2.

Cool image mate, nice little splash. I thought this was another 617 monster when I saw the aspect ratio for a second :)

  • Hi Jason, cheers for the comment. I’m trying a new way of shooting with the shift lenses. Less frames to stitch but sharper images and more attention to details like water movement. 6×17 is great but very limiting as far as close focusing, film cost etc. I’m also trying out pentax 6×4.5 lenses with a zork shift adapter and getting great results.

Ah cool man. Always gotta keep experimenting with new ideas and techniques. I’ve yet to try and tilt shift lenses, though I’ll get my chance one day. Again nice work :D
