After spending 3 weeks travelling through Mount Kosciuszko, I still didn’t have my iconic image of snow gums in the summertime. I found an old trail at the back of Charolette Pass. At the end of the trail was this amazing cluster of snow gums twisted by seasons of snowfall. This image was captured after sunset using a 16 minute exposure.

Lovely to see snow gums with grass underneath – I’ve only ever seen them with snow on and under them!
