I have to catch a trainBefore I whined up being lateI am new to NYCAnd these trains make me so confusedThe time is fifteen after sevenMy appointment is at eightIf I don’t get there on timeThose that are there may not waitI here a train a comingIt isn’t too far offI look both ways to see if I see itBut now the sound is getting softI asked a woman walking by meWhich track does the A train arriveShe said buddy you’re in HarlemBe thankful you’re aliveI hear another on in the distanceAnd now I see a lightNo matter what train it isI’m getting on it out of frightLuckily it’s the one I was waiting onI still have plenty of timeI now will try to relax a bitAnd read awhileKnowing now that everything will ‘Turn out just fine.
