I took this picture on the steepest island of the world…La Palma (canarian islands). Although it’s the steepest island of the world it’s very rare that it’s snowy on top of the biggest vulcanic mountain.
It was a lucky week so I drove all the way up to the “Roche De Los Muchachos”>>>
(3000 metres high). Shortly before I reached the top a little cave caught my attention.
I went inside and discovered beautiful, thick icicles. The energy there was incredible….it felt pure….above the clouds…elements.

That looks huge… wow very nice macro and I love the metallic looking reflections. It is interesting how the background is out of focus, but when seen through the icycles their refraction creates an abstract image; particularly in the right icycle. The middle one is also interesting because it presents a smaller, zoomed out view of the cropped background.

Wow, absolutely amazing! I love the colours and the reflection, and distant mountains. Being born in Russia, I love anything to do with snow and ice! I still remember being a child and eating icicles instead of icecream when digging snow caves… Haven’t seen many photos of icicles here on Redbubble, and they are such amazing elements of nature. Thank you for bringing back the memories!
