Stop?
Do you want to stop?
Captured with a Canon 5D and 85mm 1.8 USM prime lens.
No digital manipulations, no tricks.
I took this shot on a vulcanic mountain on the beautiful island of La Palma.
There was a road going almost all the way up to the highest mountain since there are three world-class telescopes in the Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory on La Palma (the scientists have to drive up there easily). Since it’s one of the steepest islands of the world you get these amazing views. I took this shot around 2400m above sea level. When I saw the stop sign it caught my interest immediately.

This is so awesome.
And the Title gives it great humour if you dont read too much into it!
(i mean like, if you saw a billowing plunging canyon of clouds, would you dare travel any further?) Its like…duh :)

hahah wooww… intended for angels and airplanes only, one would think!
amazing shot Ben – even more so that this isn’t a comp or something that underwent any post processing in photoshop! one of those rare moments where the only thing needed to make the photo a masterpiece is the mere presence and eye of the photographer. bravo!

Daniel, I agree with you….It is one of my favorite, I love alive images and I admire a person who has talents to notice that. I red again all comments…amassing words people sent to Ben, each of us has reflected there own issues in our souls. Such a picture can be used for any psychological test, to check how healthy we are…joking

I finally made it to the top on the last day of my trip. When i was there it snowed and rained so much the beach at the outlet of the Caldera de Taburiente was grey from the silt and mud that poured down the mountains and into the sea. Beautiful place. I do love this image. I would have never though to take it myself. Making it all the more admirable.
