Great image and wonderful tribute to a true artist.
I read the bio on him and it’s funny how you don’t know the man behind the art alot of times.
I’m well aware of his art but never knew about him. I see that Jean and I almost share a birthday too…
thank you, birdie!! ;o)))
during my childhood and in my early youth i was an avid comic reader. since germany’s neigbourhood country Belgium has such a wonderful and long lasting comic tradition, i grew up with those classics, of course. but i also devoured Marvel comics – and even more, because the only “crime” i ever committed was because of a Spiderman comic. i almost – ALMOST – stole it, but sadly, the owner of the comic shop didn’t let me pass through its door. lol. it’s about 25 yrs now, but i still can feel his grip, hard as iron, on my shoulder. :o)
i loved the superhero comics, as fantastic four or so, and i think, those comics are one of the main reasons for me being such a great sf-fan – or a fan of everything fantastic.
moebius’ works and his way of storytelling are just as mind-boggling – a wonderful artist, indeed!
so you are a taurus, too??!! ;oDDD

Sorry about “Mobius” :(
i see…. yeah – me too… of course, that’s the way life goes, but sometimes you don’t realize people until they are not there anymore. although being an avid comic reader – as mentioned above – i didn’t know moebius that much. i mean: only excerpts, only single paintings – not the whole works. but now, his death will be a motivation for me to focus on his work…
