I like your work (otherwise I would not leave comment, due time constraints).
Below my reasons for it and my honest opinion.
Please don’t feel de-motivated if some honest feedback is given.
I always mean it in a positive way. And in all, it’s just my perception anyway.

Impact (does it grab attention?): good
Composition (use of space, lines): really good
    Subject matter: good
Focal point: the face, but multiple areas on the left compete
    Style (story): very nice
    Lighting: ok
    Color balance: strong contrast
General: like the idea, maybe tone down the left part to bring out the child?

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments
Thankyou Henk for being so honest, I was actually tossing up between two versions of this image – the other one I added a slight blur and vignette around the edges to bring out louis, but then thought this one looked sharper/brighter so when I asked my husband which one he liked, he picked this one – so I probably should have posted the other one!
