Fussing over the bride...

This is an image I have ‘reworked’, I am in the process of going through all of my sisters wedding photos to do an album for her and this is still on of my fav’s – I guess that has something to do with the fact that it is my adorable little creature standing by the window, completely oblivious to what is going on around him – even in all the chaos of a wedding with my mother and sister fussing over the bride (my other sister), he just zones out and enjoys the view!

Another shot of my sister on her wedding day:

Great photo. The subtle tones are wonderful. I love the way kids just do their own thing when everything around them is manic.

Ah – the Kate Blanchet cameo side profile! This is a great use of selective decolouring! Your focus and lighting of subjects with great highlights and tones makes your sister stand out over the blue pastels in the background. Nice.

    Thanks everyone.
Ashley, wasn’t too sure about putting the blue in, was worried it might compete too much with my sister (being the main subject), thought the blue might help lead the eye to my little one looking out the window…

Wow – fantastic image, the whole thing is full of life with loads going on. What a beautiful bride. The child looking out at the view just really tops off this shot, gives that wonderful sense of childlike disinterest – Awesome work.

Wonderful ‘of’ the moment’ shot Nicole. You’ve captured the nervous energy well! In my experience of weddings, you little creature is doing the usual man thing…....shutting it out and thinking ‘lemme know when its done….and when and where do I have to be?’ its in our genetic code dontcha know! LOL

Your shots are so inspirational Nicole. I only hope I can do half as good a job as you’ve done here and in the other wedding shots when my brother finally ties the knot :o)
