Oh, I love this! Look at the dog lapping up the water! Your son (at least I’m assuming that’s who this is) reminds me of Kevin on Home Alone as he’s coming out of the shower. He’s standing in front of the mirror combing his disheveled hair and using the hair brush singing along to Bing Crosby’s “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”, then he puts on his Dad’s aftershave and makes his famous “Ahhhhh” face! Very fun photo.

Thought I`d finally get off my butt and comment on this amazing pic!
I just know that this is gonna turn out to be one of those shots that will become a classic here on RB. And it`s not surprising cause there are so many elements that work in this…
First of all, you got the composition spot on … the triangle formed by the kid, the tap and the dog is so strong and keeps the attention to the story in a continuous loop. Also, the simple color space keeps the image clean and uncluttered, and I especially like the color of the kid`s skin alongside the aqua green of the tub water. The subtle reflection on the wall is a cool touch that adds just the right amount of depth to the shot. And your processing is amazing too… I like this style of HD look (and would love to know how you do this), but it doesn`t work with everything. It certainly works with this! Everything is so perfectly exposed with no blocked shadow ares or blown out highlights so we see all that amazing detail in the dog`s fur and the shower stream. Awesome. And of course your natural lighting is sublime.

But what really knocks me out about this is your timing and the way the look on your son`s face interacts with what he`s doing with the pooch. So unpredictable… he`s getting off on the fact that the dog`s enjoying licking the spray and is totally indulging him… but you know that look. We`ve seen it often enough… one whimsical twist and he`s gonna squirt the dog in the snout!
OK, I`m not saying he`ll do it cause I don`t know him. But the look… it just keeps you in suspense and doesn`t let go. Amazing stuff!

I`ve already had this in my favs for a couple of days, but wanted to wait till I had the time to comment that it seserves. Awesome work lady!!

this is such a classic pic. Everything, from the boy’s expression, to the dog’s licking the water, the beautiful aqua of the water, to the out-of-focus taps…it’s all just perfect. I love the fun of the subject, yet there is a mood that the tones invoke which speaks of late afternoon surrealism…when the day changes into the moody night, where magic happens.
