Dirty laughter turning heads
I heard them before I saw them
Mischief darting between their heels
And rubbing his hands

I knew the game was on

Rich musk on warm skin
raindrops clinging to their cheeks
I wanted to slide my tongue along their curves
Instead of saying hello

I wasn’t the only one.

A third of a coven at an outside table
Licking the rain from our wine glasses
the cumin from the olives
with a flick of our forked tongues

Moonlight spilling onto the table
And the luminous beauty
of my jezebels at play
With red notebooks and white wine

and laughter so filthy

that even Mischief

stopped

and stared
