Spoilt for Choice

Still Life always fascinates me as it is usually an artificial arrangement of objects deliberately chosen and placed to meet certain criteria. There are a lot of reasons for the choices and this is what interests me. At first I planned a totally spontaneous pile of still life objects but of course my choices as to how I painted it came into being. All the time I painted I was aware of my own choices. The painting invites the viewer to make his/her own choices and to consider why.
