My favourite story
My favourite story of all time is the Secret Garden. I especially like the line “If you look the right way the whole world is a garden”.I find this to be true and nature is an artist like no other some of the combinations that you find you wouldn’t think to plant at home.Take for instance the invasive weeds soursob (oxalis caperiensis) and Salvation Jane individually not noteworthy but see two paddocks together, stunning.Today I saw an arial view of our area taken from a blimp. It was published in a magazine, and it took my breathe away by it’s beauty.A patchwork of browns,ochres,greys and a little green. Paddocks sewn together with the ubiquitous barbedwire. So yes I do believe the world is a garden ,careful not to step on the flowers.

I like soursobs individually and as a whole ground cover… it’s just that it takes over everything else as well (that bit I don’t like). In a pot it’s great!!!

I’d rather a field of soursobs outside my kitchen window than one of canola/rape/mustard flowers.Especially on a warm damp evening. Peg anyone?
The world and it’s collective inhabitants plants and animals are capable of beauty if we are open hearted.
