I just added some pix of Sweetie (my cat) to part of the audio track to make a “movie” and will embed it in a journal entry, if I can. I TRIED to embed the audio track by itself but haven’t figured out a way. It’d be great if we could….

When I heard somebody else’s voice for the first time, I said I thought it sounded sort of like what I expected your voice to sound like. She said you didn’t sound anything like her but I reckon there are similarities. It’s one of the things I guess that just happens by osmosis (or something similar) when we think we know someone just from their writing or art, it’s likely to be wrong most of the time but occasionally we get it right LOL Mel’s having fun in the corner by the sound of it ;-)

What’s next, the Redbubble Internet Choir? I get vision of hundreds of voices singing the same song solo in front of their pc and Stefan Sagmeister mixing it all together later as the soundtrack for the Happy project.

OK, here’s the video, but it’s not good. I’m hoping someone will tell me how to embed AUDIO by itself, the way we can embed video.

I forgot to mention that anyone who’s on a Mac could probably use GarageBand to do the audio tracks. Audacity is SUPER, but GarageBand’s easier for…er…Macs….

Well. I’ve downloaded Audacity, installed it, created a blog on Tumblr and now I guess I must record something, hmm? At the moment I’ve lost most of my voice because my son and I are a bit sick with a virus but, erm, if you give me a few days I can submit my contribution … as American as it might be. ;)

Aww! We both listened to each of the linked Radio submits. He giggled endlessly (in a great way) at the Aussie voices and it cheered us both up so much. Hooray for reaching out and happiness! :D
My voice is a wreck. My mother was raised in Brooklyn and I’ve lived in 5 other states … deep South of the U.S. and sunny California … it’s almost silly. Hopefully I don’t embarrass myself too badly. :”>

Loved listening to the stuff that is up already and had to laugh at the mistakes in trying to get the music started! Nothing like a good bit of raw unedited broadcasting! Will look forward to seeing how this progresses…

I can actually imagine hearing your voice on breakfast radio… chatting with a group of comedians or giving a traffic report :)
I was thinking I might (that’s a big might) give this a go… but I’d assume you’d need either a webcam or microphone? I can’t stand my voice recorded though. The very very few times I’ve done it when younger and played it back I just went completely red in the face and shook my head thinking for sure that was was an imposter and not me on the recording! Isn’t it strange how we hear our own voices differently when talking… but then hear it in a recording an it’s like a stranger speaking… or is that just mental me? :)

Aww. Please tell your little one to feel better and that we (my son and I) lit a candle for healing and smiles. I’ll work on my first installment of RedBubble Pirate Radio (RPR as it shall henceforth be called) on Monday if my voice has returned. Grocery shopping today and housecleaning and photo shoots tomorrow (squee!) so yeah! :D

This will be a perfect use for people’s writing. They can now do readings and attach them to their writings.

I remember hearing someone mention it ages ago when I first joined. (it’s probably in the ideas area of RB most likely).
wouldn’t it be great to hear stories acted out with one or two people… or even more. And character voices would be so cool. (and even a little soundtrack… background music would add even more). Possibilities are awesome for those that run with it. Would just add that extra dimension to certain stories that could enhance them so much. (also would be a lot of fun I’m sure for the writer and actors to do)
