I love the complemantary colors here. And the atmosphere in this pic is so mysterious.

Nice one Rhana. I love the forbidding look to the sky and the golden colour to the ruins. You could picture a ghost or two around here…..

Cool. Port Arthur`s take on my runined vampire abbey at Villers-la-Ville. Do they show information on what the place looked like before it got to this state? I`m so taken by this place you`re showing us such romantic glimpses of, and even more so of your take on what you`ve seen there. The place looks charming and it must have been intriguing to be there at sunset when all those souls are getting ready to make their night flights…
This picture is bursting with intrigue and history. Beautiful post!

love this Rhana – you have impeccable light control and almost caress the image with your light and touch… stands proud and golden against the deep azure blue sky… love the detail in the foreground too… Superb image for me. Love it!

Holy snapping duck shit Mike! I don’t recall ever getting a “Phoar” on one of my images before!!! (insert very large smile here) I went on the ghost tour last time I was there with my sister. Damn near peed my pants it was so spooky!

I’ll let you in on a little secret Simon. Whilst I would LOVE to be able to take early morning shots, I love my bed too much. And evenings are a busy time to try and get out when you have a family to take care of. So this is actually a mid morning shot, processed to create the mood I wanted ;)

BB I am so glad that I have been able to impart a little of the feelings that Port Arthur evokes in me. It truly holds a very special place in my heart, and the more I visit, the deeper the connection becomes.

Wow you’ve done it again with PA Rhana – you evoke its spirit so beautifully – this is just so moody – I love the deep meditative quality that comes from the dominance of the colours and the hinted-at shapes and structures of the ruins.
