First Deb’s brilliant Exit and now this hit my activity box in a matter of minutes.
What are you girls trying to do to me this morning?
Quite possibly (and this is how much of an instant impact this has) your finest work to date yet. And that is seriously saying something as you know how much I love Paintbox.
Where to start with the compliments. Well there are so many i’ll do a little list:
This is freakin’ fabulous – I’m loving it
Rhana Griffin, 6 months ago
yanmos… thankyou. I’m thrilled with how the colours have brought this old girl to life.
David… The boxes were what first caught my attention, such starkness against the opulence of this beautiful old girl =)
Liam… same here, as I said to David, had these boxes not been there, I may not have taken the shot. =)
Naomi… thanks darl! They are actually concrete… kind of modern art sculpture I guess lol!
Deri… thankyou so much! I love the golden glow myself.
Stuart…. Stuart Stuart Stuart….. You floor me! That is indeed a big call!!! But you know… I think I may have to agree with you. Every time I open this image I just get this feeling of “Wow… did I do that?” I think I may have a new fave of my own ;) heartfelt thanks my friend for loving this image as much as I do. {{hugs}}

This is so surreal its really freaking me out!!! That sky is amazing.
Your perspective is brilliant and the color is amazing.
I think I could type for ever on this one.
I think I have a new favorite of yours.
Deborah Parkin, 6 months ago
Have to agree with Stuart here Rhana – this has to be one of your best yet!!! I love the composition and the colours are just so gorgeous – really vibrant and alive. The light just jumps from the screen too. Every bit of this image has something wonderful to look – right down to the concrete block (is that what it is?) – that is out of place but just perfect too
Rhana Griffin, 6 months ago
Jeff… awwww man! {blushes} thanks you! If its any consolation Ithink I have a new favourite of mine too ;)
Deb… Yep, that is a concrete block. Well two actually ;) When I saw it I just thought they seemed so out of place, and yet so damn right all at the same time! Weird huh? Thanks for a wonderful comment Deb XOXOX

Just back for a 43rd look and I feel the need to comment again.
The doubts have gone, and I can officially say this is your finest hour yet! It is utterly fantastic!
Just noticed the shadows on the building on the left hand side – Magnificent.
If you can top this – I can’t wait to see it

Holy Wow….I feel as though the sky opened up to light up the building, then closed up but left a purple haze to remind all below…..
Beautiful work, Bellababe….for me very thought provoking….

Oh gee… THANKS Stuart! Nothing like a little pressure huh? If I hadnt sworn off it you would be getting a serious poking right now…. grrrrrrrr Ithink I just wont post anything else. EVER!
Lisa… thanks darlin girl… I am so completely stoked with this. You should see me sitting here, I’ve got a smile a mile wide and I do a little “YAY!” and a little on the spot skip every time I look at this image. XOXOX

Amazing processing the Image looks so crisp it could almost be a 3D computer model. I would not know where to start to acheive such a result.

This building has its arms wide open and is inviting me in with its mellow sunshine walls and promise of grandeur within… but wait… what`s that in the middle? And what`s that other thing in front of it? And up on the roof… that ladder is hanging in mid air, and those two ajacent windows (who`s looking at who?)... and the tower… it`s not like the rest. There`s something dark in those shadows, and the blackened dome is a sinister platform for that beakon that is surely emitting a strong signal from the underworld, summoning all those gathering clouds and turning the sky an unearthly hue… Rhana, this picture tells me that things are often not as they seem. This is the Twilight Zone, and I was scared to go in, but my curiosity is up and now I think I`ll just let the place suck me in…
You are dark to have done a picture like this. Dark and beautiful. I want your neck more than ever.
