I agree Stunning, The lighting really draws the eye upward into the tunnel… But the Blue floor and the movement @ the end, makes this a site to behold…

very interesting and arresting Rhana. the colours are so high key that it shouldn’t work but it does. its quite memerizing actually. nice one.

salsbells… if you look to the left and read the description you’ll see the reason for the title ;)

Thanks Juilee… I totally agree about the colours. I had that exact same thought as I was processing it!

Wow, blow my mind with complementary colors! I so love this, the neutral columns separating the two opposite extremes, with amazing symmetry sucking me right down the tunnel. You are a genious to have captured this so elegantly. Beautiful work!

When i’m stuck for a heading I sometimes take certain key words (such as orange glow roof symmetry sunday in this instance) and whack them into google. This sometimes gives me something different and a bit out there.

When applying this principal to this masterpiece (i’ll come on to that a bit later) it would give you the following choices (selected by me from the 1st page):
    1. UFO Round Up Volume 7 Number 43
    2. Big Hairy Laowai
    3. The Sound Of Whirling Blades

    But that’s just me.

As for the shot – Nice, very nice indeed. What a gorgeous symmetry and delicious light and shadows. The contrast between the blues and orange are amazing

BB… awwww (blushes) thanks punken! You sure do have a way with words XOXOX

Stuart… I’m kinda partial to “The Sound of Whirling Blades” Nice tip btw! I’ll remember that for next time I am stuck =) Now if you will excuse me… I’m off to try and find out what the hell a Hairy Laowai is…

    Thanks Ian!

Its a very nice image. I love the assymetry created by the sunlight, was this by any chance the University of Queensland?

The shot kind of polarizes the notion of warmth and coolness, separating the two by the pillars.
    It works.
    I like it.

OR like Stuart said you can even go a step further and combine his Googled words
    and call the shot
    1. The Sound of Big Hairy Laowai
    2. Big Hairy Whirling blades

The lighting on the ceiling is fantastic. Wonderful shot as always.
I feel sucked into it like its a vortex. Wahoooooooooooooo

I don’t know why but as I looked at this beautiful image it made me think of a corridor of secrets kept – maybe something to do with the discrete presence of the figures at the end of the passageway. Regardless, those colours just complete a beautifully framed piece Rhana.

Beautiful shot and beautiful treatment. Gorgeous colours and great perspective. Reminds of a scene from a movie, shot (supposedly) in a monastery, I saw many years ago. Your black frame sets it off beautifully.
