All Washed Up
This shot of my old Praktica camera was taken with my dslr back up Samsung GX10 through my 60 year old vintage Kodak Brownie Reflex…
Art imitating art imitating art? :)
Gave the local beach walkers something to ponder over as they passed by anyways ;)

My youngest son was my helper on this shoot Jeff, he is an expert rock clamberer, and he had great fun tossing my Praktica into rock pools :)

This is fantastic Rhana. Love the way the point of view throws out all sense of scale when you first look… I thought that I was looking at some kind of behemoth of a camera set against a mountain backdrop!
Glad to hear that you are entertaining the locals as usual!
Rhana Griffin
replied
That sense of scale thing is freaky! ANd not something I had noticed until you pointed it out. Geez I’m cleverer than I thought! BIG lol!
Pip Gerard

.......haha thats cool!!
Reminds me of similar results from my errant misadventures with an old Pentax K1000…..poor thing was dropped, trodden on, squashed, drowned, dismembered and thrown…......
Its still with me though, a bit battered, is all…........
Rhana Griffin
replied
It’s hard to let go of these things that we have shared so many (mis)adventures with isn’t it? Perhaps thats why I am still with hubby after all these years ;)

i can almost see Charlton Heston (if he were a photographer) riding up on his horse from “Planet of Apes” and uttering the iconic phrase “Damn you all to hell…” very original to scope through the viewfinder of an old reflex. great idea and well done. very nice indeed!
