    BB… Tassie is so much better than I could ever make it look. The sounds, the smells, the salty breeze, the sun on the back of your neck… It is sensory overload BB, I shortcircuit on a regular basis due to the beauty of this place I am lucky enough to call home. xx

    Thanks K :) Yes I have been hugely inspired by a whole bunch of people using black glass, but the one that pushed me over the edge was this one from Alex Wise…

    I have a looooooooong journey ahead of me before I can produce anything near that!

    This is a stunning result Rhana from your first outing! Wow!
    Great effect with the new filter and very well controlled. Love the contrast between the calm and the jagged rocks and the islands way off in the background balance the composition well.
    Very nice… I’m guessing it wont be long before you step into the world of dawn photography!

    It’s not Goat Island in the background, this is shooting towards Sisters Hills so that is where the Rocky Cape lighthouse is :) And thanks to my new filter, this was shot about 1.30 this afternoon :)))

    Oh.. wow! Great work and excellent tone! I got myself a 8 grade but haven’t come close to this yet. Been too much light around, soon it’ll be winter in Sweden and light from 9 am to 3 pm and then it’ll work ;0)

    This is wonderful Rhana. The tobacco stained hue overides a previous calm water scene and adds a real gripping sense of impendingness of something more powerful. It’s like waiting for something to happen, sitting, watching waiting…....

    And a bit of Linkin Park is never bad to have in the ears whilst you sit and wait either.

    Linkin Park totally kicks butt. My boys think they “discovered” Linkin Park ever since they did a song for the Transformers movie. I still don’t think I have convinced them that I have been listening to them for years (insert long suffering eyeroll here).
