Taken on a recent trip to Port Arthur – my most favourite place in the world so far. This is the avenue that leads to the Port Arthur church, otherwise known as my sanctuary :)

I have visited Port Arthur many times, however this was the first time I have seen it wearing it’s autumn colours. So very beautiful…

    I had an amazing time away Vicki, thanks so much for asking :) I’m still technically on holidays, and will enjoy this evening with hubby and the kids before I get back into work mode tomorrow. I didn’t want to let my aunt go, but sadly I had to… we created some most excellent memories while she was here.

    autumn is my favourite time of the year. This reminds me of the new forest in southern england, beauty, sanctury and connection. I hope we all have these places to retreat to when our minds get to busy.

    Love this! Just love it. The way the path is lined by the autumnal leaves so neat and tidy that someone (probably you oh horizon queen) has been out with a ruler, lining the path with such symmetrical precision :)

    The trees give such a natural shape to, arching over and providing a safe haven for the journey down.

    Rhana this is such a beautiful shot.

    I have walked that road a couple of times, both times was in winter and the snow was coming down. The trees didnt have leaves and the snow fell on my face. Very magical.

    I find Port Arthur such a peaceful place, despite it’s tragic past. It’s a place that I don’t think I will ever tire of seeing.
