La La Hill

Up the road from the Promised Land and around the corner from Nowhere Else I stumbled across La La Hill. Bonus points if you get the reference ;)

It does look like La la land but where are they all . ? it must be bed time

it is a great shot and a perfect shape.

Thanks Mark… I fear I put all our lives at risk for this shot. With the roads the way they are in Tassie, nine times out of ten when you yell out “STOP!!!” you end up thigh deep in blackberries and picking your shirt off barbed wire as you get out the car ;) But I just knew that light wasn’t going to last more than a few seconds.

I hate teletubbies….they should be doused in petrol and set on fire!.....This reminds me of a big green boobie with a pointy nipple LOL.

Aside from the mother and son La La`s at the top of the hill, I see no other reference. And what were you doing around the corner from Nowhere Else when you should be taking it easy and recouperating… There`s nothing to be done about you is there? Always putting your art first. Still, I hope you did the geometry on this in Photoshop. Believe it or not, I actually got out my ruler (no silly, the one with the cm markings on it!) and measured… The 2 La La`s are EXACTLY in the middle of the frame at the EXACT crescent of the hill which spans one side of the frame to the other at EXACTLY the same height from the bottom on each side. So if you did this through your viewfinder, that means you are not of this earth and don`t need to recouperate anyway. You just need to place your palm on your forehead and bingo, you are well.

Having said all that, what I love about your La La hill (aside from the obvious love between the two La La`s at the top), is that it`s a return to your stunning colors and candy floss clouds that we`ve all come to know and love from you. And I don`t give a toss about your silly bonus points. I`m just glad to have you back from the depths of despair!!

The lighting is beautiful and the grass is gorgeous, and the hill is a perfectly rounded hill. I’m afraid I almost agree with Simon re the Teletubbies, the only difference being I think they should be thrown in the darkest dungeon that can be found and the key melted down and thrown away forever.

    Beautifully shot.

i had to laugh at Simon’s reference to this being a giant green boobie. its a beautiful minimalist scenic. great primary colors. how much did you have to pay for that cloud???
lovely, worth getting tangled in the brambles. cheers.

Thanks so much Jan {{{hugs}}} I actually have fond memories of the Teletubbies… they allowed me to have a cup of coffee and a ciggie in peace when my eldest was a wee nipper ;)

Cheers JK! Clouds like that are a fringe benefit where I live… so although there is no up front cash outlay, it wreaks havoc when you have to declare them on your taxes ;)
