Ta Babe! This was my fave shot out of a handfull ;)
Craig Shillington
What sorta exposure time are you using for these Belinda?? They rock!!
Belinda Leopold
Will get back to you with that info Craig….....:)
Craig Shillington
Hehehe Ya don’t have to if you wanna keep it to yer self ;) :) Am just interested how you get those ghostly images :) I wouldn’t have a chance to really work on stuff like this for a while anyway. And actually, maybe I’m better off experimenting eh .. .and not being so lazy asking the how did you do that bit :P
Belinda Leopold
That’s cool babe-I usually put all those details with my pix anyway (and as of last nite have updated almost all of them to have their info with them). Because I use ALL SORTS of cameras, it’s cool to show what capabilities some of them have….;)
Michael Cuneo
Nice, I like it.
Peter Ede
Very cool. I love the motion here.
Only 1.6 sec. Just goes to show we are in a hurry these days
Craig Shillington
Thanks for that Belinda :) I really appreciate that :) Helps. I thought the exp was a lot longer than that ;)
Belinda Leopold
Hey guys, 1.6 sec is a long time when you r doing it over and over again!!!! ;)
Brett Squires
Nice work. Love the shadowy figures filing past.
Craig Shillington
Hehehehehe Try 60 second exposures over and over Belinda ;) I know what you mean though eh :) :)
Carole Felmy
Great pic, love the movement created by the long exposure
Belinda Leopold
Thanks Carole-have spent a lot of time just staring at this picture!!

Beautifully composed street shot Belinda, you asked about how I took the pub shots, well I never walked in and started snapping away, I went in to have a few beers primarily, the flat bottomed camera was left on the table top next to the beer, set on f16, aimed and triggered there at any potential pictures, most people did not seem to notice, and if they did , did not find it as confronting as an aimed camera at eye level, however I would not have tried it sober because you need to fit in with the mood and rythem of the place, to be both sensitive to it and not stand out. The photography was definitely secondary. I recommend you do NOT try doing it this way.
Belinda Leopold
Thanks Vic!!! Note taken….
andrew cowell
I’m a real sucker for motion blur – this one is truly excellent :-)

Elaine van Dyk
Fabulous photo!!!!!! Love the movement of people on the sidewalk, and contrast of that stunning red coat with blue blue trousers. The window manequins look like a couple just standing there watching everyone go by. Very interesting.
betelnut
This is a great shot Belinda. Beautiful contrast between the muted colours of the people and the red coat in the window. You must really like a challenge taking “action” shots in Adelaide :-).
Only joking. Thanks for all of your comments. Keep up the good work.
Belinda Leopold
Ahhh yes…us poor folk in Adelaide….actually you can give us a bit of pity-I reckon we’ve all photographed everything here 20 times over…..:)
Thanks for looking-you keep up the good work too…;)

nice! great movement feels like a memory or da-ja-vu. Very effective.

Brilliant shot, somewhat mysterious. The headless models in the window seem more real than the actual people passing by.

This is wonderful! i’ve always wanted to replicate that “effect” but i’m too much of an amatuer.
Belinda Leopold

Victoria Rusnac

Kristal
great shot. Creative thinking goes a long way!
Gordon Christie
Found this by accident. Stunning.
Belinda Leopold
Much thanks all :)
Ted Byrne
What an astonishing ride on the color wheel. Your control over the feeling of this image is exquisite. It combines alienation with urban powerfully. The only bodies lack heads, the only heads lack substance. Wheeeeee…. wunnerful trip.
Belinda Leopold replied
Much thanks Ted!!!!
RobertCharles
