A brilliant photograph. I feel very sad when I look at it. The lioness has a marked sense of captivity.
That is what I love so much about this photo. She is definitely one of the most magnificent of all creatures and her gaze really speaks to me. It’s like she knows who she is and the world has confined her but she knows her strength and rightful place in the world and longs to be free.
