I’ve had my new camera in my hot little hands for 1 week now and have taken almost 700 photo’s! At the moment I am just experimenting with the automatic features of the camera until I get a feel for the lenses and capabilities.
I really want to master the art of night time photography. I’ve purchased a tripod to prevent camera shake because I am shocking at trying to get my little hands to hold the camera steady. I am dying for an electrical storm to pass over my way as I have a fascination with lightning and want to capture some images.
The thing that I love most about my new passion of photography is that I now look at things around me so much differently. I’ve always been very conscious of how beautiful Australia is but to now look at it all through a camera lens just heightens my love of this country and all that inhabits it.

i have this same camera and i also like to do night photography i just had one suggestion for you………….if you already have a shutter release then disregard if not you should look into picking one up it helps alot with camera shake even if you use a tripod and would be essential for capturing lightning and or fireworks for that matter…………hope this helps
