Old roses by Beatrice Cloake

Original painting : 14″ × 18″
I have picked these gorgeous roses in our daughter’s garden.
The buds are dark red, when they open the flowers are a blueish pink. Delicious and romantic.
I did not wish to paint a background, I felt that it needed to keep fresh.
