thanks and same to ya also :) tonight we are having a cookout at the fire dept for halloween and of course giving away candy and such to any of the kids that come out :) so be safe..its a shame that society has even put fear into halloween, i hate the kids dont know the ones we grew up with, dressing up, going to neighbors and getting candy thru the area we live in. i hate it some have made it appear to be a evil holiday, but then they celebrate it in their churches!! its a shame that folks now a days..dont even trust their own neighbors right down the road they live on. sorry for rambling! lol have a great hallowed night :)
ya but who actually puts the scare (wrong one) in halloween? i think its more of the media then anything. i mean cmon, do folks actually think the people next door that they chat with yearly, would do something to their kids? or even the neighbor a few doors down? what happened to parents going out with the kids, standing on the sidewalk, watching as the kids go to the door? remember the sign where if light was on..there was candy, if light was off..there wasnt? lol i think people get too involved in the media’s scare of things, the media always finds the Bad side of things, and dwells on it, meanwhile convicing viewers that things arent safe anymore, and unfortunately..people believe them. did you know that old fable of the razor blade in the apple thing…never happened?

Ramble all you want, Chris. :) It is all so true. When I was a kid, it was so different. Now it is just plain scary (no pun intended) for our kids.
