This image depicts the union of man and woman in an eternal love knot spiralling up out of a pool, within which can be seen the ancient 7 circuit labyrinth that in ancient times, represented the fertility of woman. The image also forms the shape of an arched window giving the impression of a spiritual icon.
All of my artworks are created from handmade papers and organic materials from the rainforests of NSW, Australia. In this image, the detail of the actual air ferns and mosses used in the original can be clearly seen.
