Goddess labyrinth
This 7 circuit labyrinth is at least 4000 years old and is generally associated with the feminine essence and fertility. It is believed to symbolize the womb, birth canal and foetus in its form and used to be inscribed upon the ground to be walked by young women entering upon becoming fertile as part of a rite of passage into womanhood.
It is the divine feminine essence represented in a symbolic piece of sacred geometry.
This image was originally created as one of my handmade paper works, however, I decided to digitize it and have a little fun with colour. The result makes a stunning piece of wall art or a striking T-shirt
