Cerne and The Goddess
A richly symbolic image depicting the Celtic ‘Horned God’ Cerne or Cernunnoss in passionate embrace with his consort, The Goddess. Cerne is traditionally Lord of the Animals and The Goddess is generally associated with the ‘Sacred Forest’ of all life on Earth. The forest, however, needs animals to spread the seeds and pollenate the flowers., and the animals need the forest to provide food and shelter. As such, neither can survive without the other. The union of Cerne and The Goddess ensures the continuity of all life on Earth.
All of my artworks are executed in handmade papers and organic materials from the rainforests of Northern NSW, Australia. As such, they not only represent our union with the earth symbolically, but also physically as objects in their own right.
Cerne and The Goddess belongs to the following groups:
Love & Romance , Passions and Spiritual Art Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints
