Talkin Books.... by Beatnikgal

…is so good for the soul. Each month my girlfriends and I get together eat, drink and argue too much and say it is because we are discussing a book. This months book was To Kill A Mockingbird, one of my all time favourite books ever.

We ate banoffee pie drank wine – later strong coffee – and talked over every part of it’s lovliness. This talk led to all manner of tangents and finally the girls left with bags full of my books. We said goodbyes with full bellies and minds.

I meet these girls the rest of the month and we gossip about work and partners and clothes but when we meet to discuss a book we really listen and learn about each other. So, my weekend advice read a book and talk about it. It’s good for the soul and for friendship – but maybe less so for the waistline.
