He is homeless, sitting in the street in my wealthy city .. surrounded by expensive stores selling expensive stuff to people who don’t need them. He’s a drug addict and he lost one of his legs, all he’s got left now is his dog – not even the crutch is his, it’s a loaner from the council until he dies.
A few words are exchanged with the kind man who is petting the dog. He’s begging money that will help him get the next fix and take away the pain ..for a while.
Once he was a little boy somebody loved (I hope) – how did it go so wrong?

Yes, I agree – it is so easy to condemn such people, but it is better to try to understand. The rich drug barons who are selling the drugs in the first place are where the blame lies.
