From my mailbox this morning: "Pastime for retirees" by ✿⊱╮Kira Bodensted

Working people often ask retirees what they do to pass the time.
OK, take the other day when my wife and I went to town to go shopping.
We were only in the shop for 5 minutes and when we got out a traffic officer was writing a parking ticket.
We said to him. “Hey there, how about showing a little compassion and giving two old pensioners a brake."
He ignored us and continued writing the Ticket.
I called him a Nazi Pig. He stared at me and started on a new Ticket for the run-down tires.
My wife called him a Dick-head. He finished the second Ticket – put it under the wind-shield wiper with the first one.
Then he started on the third ticket.
That went on for 20 minutes, the more we insulted him the more tickets he wrote.
Personally we didn’t care.
It wasn’t our car. We’d arrived by Bus.

We are doing our best to have a little fun every day now that we are retired.
It’s important at our age. ☺
