Small, formal garden in Roger Williams Park, Providence, RI (US). Just a few dozen feet from a very popular (and very historic) carousel, this garden was entirely deserted, except for a couple of geese and a swan.

I am now primarily a digital photographer but with occasional lapses into film. I do minimal image processing except in those cases where I am creating a different piece of art. I am most fascinated by the beauty in everyday scenes and objects.

Barry, my grandfather Patrick, was part of the organized effort to create those gardens during the Work Progress Administration era.
What a small world. Congratulations to him and his work-mates. Still beautiful after all these years. Do you know if he every rubbed shoulders with Olmstead?
