Continued exploration of a very unique process called tape lifting I discovered awhile back in community college while studying graphic design. Taught to me by Ken Jones … it involves using tape to lift images/text/scraps/textures/etc. and pasting them into a sketch book or on matte paper and then creating a 600 dpi high resolution scan of the collage made of tape. From there the idea is to use that high resolution collage scan and subverting it to suit whatever purpose your trying to accommodate!
Also remember experimenting with different types of papers … tapes … materials gives you more diverse results. So try it for yourself and see what you can come up with!!!
It’s cheap it’s fast you can’t really screw up so it’s a ton of fun!
Great for brainstorming too!
